PLANS are afoot to return the heritage-listed Robinvale Hotel -- which has been lying idle since a fire gutted the inside of the building a decade ago -- to its former glory.

Swan Hill Rural City Council has received a planning permit application seeking approval for the partial demolition of the hotel, retaining the bottle shop, before the design and reconstruction of a new hotel.
