THE Fair Work Commission has approved an application to extend the 30-day period during which health care workers, including those at Mildura Base Public Hospital, can take protected industrial action.

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation applied to the commission to have the period extended by 30 days while enterprise bargaining continues.
