THE manager of a farm near Wentworth has become the first person prosecuted for failing to answer questions from an independent water regulator which oversees the enforcement of water management laws in New South Wales.

The man was fined and will have to pay costs after he refused to attend an interview with a Natural Resources Access Regulator officer about a major investigation into alleged illegal water take.
