THERE are many trees within the Rural City of Mildura labelled as "significant" by the National Trust of Australia and municipal staff vowed to continue to protect them.

General manager of healthy communities Mark Jenkins said the council officers understood the importance of the significant trees and as such had tried to take great care of the flora.
