WENTWORTH Shire had received a request for financial assistance from Wentworth District Meals on Wheels.

The call came at council's regular meeting on Wednesday, November 20.

The service provides essential meals to 32 elderly residents in Wentworth, Pooncarie, Curlwaa, Dareton, Buronga, Gol Gol, and two in Balranald Shire.
