A DAY of total fire ban was been declared for the Mallee region on Saturday, November 16.

Hot and dry conditions coupled with a gusty west to south-westerly change is expected to arrive late in the afternoon.

Northerly winds reaching up to 40 km/h are expected to hit Mildura while temperatures are expected to peak at 38 in Mildura and 37 degrees in Swan Hill.
