VISITORS to the Mildura Airshow will have the chance to see three historic planes in a nod to the Royal Australian Air Force Base once located at the Mildura Airfield.

Between 1942 and 1946, the No.2 Operational Training Unit, also known as 2OTU, educated pilots - including former Prime Minister John Gorton - for posting to operational squadrons.
