Eight-ballers pocket bragging rights

SUNRAYSIA took out two of three divisions and finished second in the other at home in the recent four-city friendly eightball tournament.

Sunraysia Eightball Association hosted Swan Hill, Hamilton and Horsham in a graded tournament friendly, promoting social connectedness and healthy rivalry over the weekend of October 28 and 29.

Even though the tournament was a social friendly, the home association claimed bragging with wins in divisions one and two, with Horsham second, while the results were flipped in division three.

Teams from outside of Mildura made the most of the tournament, but also other events in Mildura such as the Goanna Run and other local attractions.

Eightball is in slow recovery after the impact of COVID, and tournaments like this aim to not only grow the sport, but to reconnect communities across the state.
